Description
ThriftBooks is looking for a part-time intern to join their team who has experience in accounting. Experience gained in the classroom and through personal application will be acceptable. This internship will provide an opportunity for the selected candidate to work on a small team, allowing you to gain real work experience and build your resume. Responsibilities include, assisting with closing monthly financial statements, analyzing operating results, preparing account analyses, bank reconciliations & other general accounting duties.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program (Junior or Senior), majoring in Accounting
Basic accounting knowledge, such as understanding debits, credits, journal entries and adjusting entries
Ability to organize and self-direct to get things done
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Eagerness to learn new skills
