PDRI is seeking a talented, motivated mid-level Systems Engineer to join our IT Services department. This position will be responsible for the design, test, and implementation as well as maintenance and management of our AWS infrastructure, the server infrastructure for multiple sites and numerous exciting PDRI development projects for our Federal government customers.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Design and deploy cloud solutions on AWS
Monitor application availability and resolving infrastructure issues
Ability to design, evaluate, and implement new network hardware, systems, and software
Conducts server administration –Windows 2012/2016 64 bits/Red Hat Linux/Solaris and other OS
Manage all system backups and restore protocols.
Plan and support network and computing infrastructure platforms
Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations, and associated systems.
Ability to document system problems and resolutions
Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning improvements
Manage infrastructure email, anti-virus, and anti-spam efforts
Supports patch management (Server and workstation), image and GPOs
Implement software, network security patches and hardening actions
Provide technical mentoring to peers and/or subordinates
Must be able and willing to work in a team environment and individually
Support COOP and DR processes
Supports change management process
Develops and supports technical documentation and maintenance
Supports C&A efforts
Maintain TCP/IP (IPV4, and IPV6), DNSSEC, routing, sub netting.
Maintain secured remote access technologies such as SSL VPN, IPSEC VPN, terminal services, etc.
Create designs for new or upgraded networks that may include virtualization hypervisors, SAN implementations and multiple operating systems
Excellent time management skills required; working on projects and tickets with minimum of supervision. Must be able to prioritize work tasking and consistently meet project timelines
Supports and uses SDLC, ITIL, and PMP methodologies effectively
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication, learn quickly, and solve problems; an all-around professional.
PREFERRED SKILLS

Expertise with server virtualization techniques and VMware ESXI
Ability to harden systems (Per DISA STIGS) in compliance with various C&A requirements and guidelines
Expertise implementing network monitoring solutions
Expertise on SAN technologies, including SAN-to-SAN replication on dissimilar geographic locations and VMware replication
Expertise on Windows Active directory, single sign on solutions, MFA, and ADFS
Expertise on Microsoft SCCM management platform and Red Hat patch management
Expertise on image development, deployment, and documentation processes
Expertise on the development of technical documentation
Expertise on the change management process and RFC preparation and presentation
Expertise on the SDLC, ITIL, and PMP methodologies
Expertise on SQL Server/Mongo DB
Background on Java application servers, JBoss, and WebLogic
Background in Data Base Management systems
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:
BS degree, and experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (US Citizen)
Thorough knowledge of systems and networking best practices techniques
Good understanding of server virtualization techniques and VMware suite, ESXi, vCenter, etc.
5+ years of experience with RHEL or CentOS engineering and administration
3+ years of experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Glacier, etc.).
Experience successfully completing Federal certifications and accreditation (A&A, C&A, or FedRAMP)
Good understanding of hardening systems techniques via DISA STIGs to earn ATO and compliance with various C&A guidelines
Good understanding of network monitoring solutions
Good understanding of Windows Active directory, single sign-on solutions, and ADFS
Good understanding of SQL enterprise and Mongo DB high availability cluster solutions
Good understanding of SAN-to-SAN replication on dissimilar geographic locations
Good understanding of image development, deployment, and documentation processes.
Experience on computer and network infrastructure consulting
Experience with customer services supplying both remotely and on-site, employing a three-tier engineering team managed through an issue/request tracking system.
Familiarity with SDLC, ITIL, and PMP methodologies
