Job Description Summary:
This position is responsible for leading the profitable sales growth of the commercial business by developing market plans that focus their team (factory and rep sales resources) on the best opportunities. Emphasis will be on owners/developers, general & mechanical contractors, and specifying engineers.
The Sr. Sales Manager – Commercial will be the primary regional sales contact for the Commercial Marketing Segment Team and will ensure collaboration on segment strategy and account development plans.
The Sr. Sales Manager – Commercial will lead the business cadence with standard monthly updates and quarterly business reviews to ensure visibility and accountability for the execution of commercial market plans. Significant emphasis will be placed on coaching and development of the regional team and rep assets to efficiently execute local commercial market plans.
Ensure achievement of the commercial sales and gross profit goals by leading the regional commercial sales team in developing and executing the Market Plan.
Identifies Commercial Target Accounts (Owners/Developers, General Contractors, Engineers, and Contractors) for the regional Commercial Team. Works with team to construct and carry out account plans for each target.
Manages both factory and rep resources to ensure there is clear accountability for commercial market plan initiatives. Holds monthly updates and quarterly business reviews for the commercial market plan to ensure execution.
Utilizes SFDC as a tool to manage regional commercial business. Includes keeping commercial accounts updated, ensuring regular F2F meetings of targeted and key accounts, Design services utilization and win /rate, Commercial sales tracking - conducts monthly regional project pipeline reviews with the commercial team.
Continuous coaching and development of both the factory and rep sales region Commercial Team.
Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with Top Ten Target Accounts within the Region.
Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree with 7 - 10 years’ related experience.
Knowledge of major account selling, and the construction market is required.
Must have excellent communication, planning and presentation skills.
Experience in wholesale distribution and managing reps.
