Deliver exceptional service to guests while sharing knowledge of the rich heritage and history of Austin City Limits television show and ACL-Live at the Moody Theater venue. During entertaining walking tours of the venue, effectively communicate scripted information and engage tour groups with interesting and approved facts and stories about the venue's musical pedigree while making it accessible and entertaining for a worldwide audience.
- Present a high-energy, entertaining scripted tour while escorting groups through the facility. Actively engage the guests throughout the tour while communicating approved information. Present tour instructions, building directions and safety precautions throughout tour process.
- Manage and maintain materials used for tours, including, but not limited to, listening devices, tour scanners, and radios. This includes charging and sanitizing the units and reporting issues with them.
- Collect and scan tickets from individuals or groups.
- Ensure that tour guests are presented with a photo opportunity.
- Distribute brochures, coupons, and general information on establishment or other entities of ACL Live and Opry Entertainment Group (OEG).
- Respond to questions about the venue and businesses from guests.
- Serve as a facility host as dictated by the business/staffing needs assisting with facility or concessions duties or supervision.
- Assume responsibility for the safety of the group and facility. Ensure that all guests stay with the tour.
- Assist management in opening and closing duties as assigned, including properly turning on lights, placing ropes on appropriate doors, placing stanchions on stage, setting up tour videos, etc.
- Ensure exhibits are maintained to the highest degree of quality. Communicate with venue leadership to ensure proper maintenance and repair of the physical facility and contents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
- Previous customer service and/or public speaking experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have excellent public speaking skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and listening communication skills required
- Ability to speak publicly for extended lengths throughout the day
