If you are looking for an opportunity with a growing and dynamic company, Gates has an opportunity for a Sr. Manager, S&OP based in our Denver, CO office. POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager of Sales & Operations Planning Position is responsible for the site relationship and supply planning of Gates US and intercompany planning for the US and Mexico mfg. market share. This position will also add guidance, experience and support to the MFG schedule and planning teams. This position will be a liaison and advocate amongst Supply Chain, Customer Service, Demand Planning, QA, Regulatory and Sale and Marketing to build strong working relationships. Sites include, but are not limited to Iola, Kansas, Versailles, MO and Cohisa, Mexico. Core Responsibilities: Develop and manage a 12-month active supply plan, inventory forecasts and capacity utilization reports using forecasted demand from respective assigned product categories. Prepare and lead monthly S&OP CSP meetings (with manufacturing, as well as business and Supply Chain management) with the responsibility to reach consensus on the 12 month Supply/Demand/Inventory plan consistent with business strategy. Provide analysis, information and recommendations to optimize assigned area while enabling business objectives, including “what-if” scenarios for varying options. Provide insight and awareness for potential supply/demand imbalances and engage the organization to resolve. - Escalation point and key decision maker with a strong sense of urgency and drive for resolution - Liaison between Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Business leaders - Engage and lead appropriate business teams as needed Support assigned area growth platforms through management of supply plan. Provide recommendations as needed with regards to asset utilization and required inventory builds or other actions required to meet long term demand projections. Continue to develop knowledge of current planning tools and capture additional optimization opportunities using the tools. Provide feedback to Supply Chain management on tool's effectiveness and any recommendations to improve efficiencies in the S&OP planning process. Provide leadership/management for an indirect team of planners supporting assigned areas in the manufacturing plants. Achieve alignment of capacities between sites and plans. Drive productive discussions with Business, Commercial, and Manufacturing partners to set plan to satisfy the customer. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Percent of time as listed below are approximate and vary by customer and end market assignment. Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below. 1 50% Develop and maintain monthly supply requirements through site collaboration and site commitments using systematic planning tools. 2 25% Facilitate and advocate the S&OP process with the assigned manufacturing sites, supply chain and commercial support functions 3 10% Build and maintain inventory levels for the different business segments to maximize overall business profit and maintain inventory objectives. 4 5% Secure reliable supply confirmation, including proactive communication to Customer Service and commercial operations regarding availability dates and supply constraints 5 5% Ensure that all Supply Chain rules/ Planning Master Data are maintained and updated correctly on a monthly or quarterly basis 6 5% Ensure optimal use of VCP/Oracle functionalities and APCC BI reports as key planning tools within the area of Order management, Stock management, Forecasting and Reporting. #LI-SD1
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, or related field.
10 years manufacturing, supply chain, planning or order fulfillment experience.
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
MBA preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Consistent, proven track record of achieving results
Must have excellent excel skills, SQL and database experience is preferred
Deep Supply Chain understanding with extensive ERP planning experience
Ability to analyze data, identify root cause of issues, and drive solutions, Green/Black belt certification preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong team player; proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all functions; builds collaborative relationships
Works well under pressure, effectively handles conflict and demonstrates flexibility in work style to accommodate changing priorities and fixed deadlines
Demonstrated ability to report/present to executive level; interprets data and provides meaningful information to both financial and non-financial audiences
Self-motivated, capable of seeking quality solutions and continuously focusing on process improvements, while keeping the needs of the business in the forefront
Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
