Position: Production Planner & Scheduler

Location: Souderton, PA (Northwest of Philadelphia)


Leidy’s is a growing company in the Natural and Specialty Protein business who is seeking a skilled Production Planner & Scheduler.

The Production Planner & Scheduler works collaboratively with the Sales and Operations Departments to maximum customer order-fill, production efficiencies, and inventory management. Utilizes the Demand Plan, sales history, and organizational knowledge to fulfill all key customer requirements. Audits inventory reports for accuracy and compliance to plan. Proactively identifies and resolve potential materials issues.

The Production Planner & Scheduler needs to have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task effectively. Previous experience working in an ERP system along with solid MS Excel skills are a must. Some of the daily activities duties include scheduling production, expediting orders, inventory management, and out front planning.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree preferred and/or 2-5 years of applicable work experience
  • Skill in use of MS Office with emphasis on Excel.
  • Working knowledge of forecasting and statistical analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with attention to detail and strong interest in accuracy and record keeping.
  • Good project management and communications skills required.
  • Must possess good analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work occasionally in manufacturing facilities to gain experience and growth.
