Responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the tactical operations and some strategic initiatives, personnel, and equipment within the divisions of facilities and grounds maintenance, janitorial services, church safety and security, campus event services, and food service.
This position will work as a liaison with church staff and lay persons, third party vendors, contractors, user departments, and the public regarding facilities management, tactical operations and some strategic initiatives to include facilities and grounds maintenance, janitorial services, church safety and security, campus event services, and food service.
Manage, plan, organize, and direct a variety of projects and activities to provide a safe, clean, secure and attractive environment for staff, church members, visitors, and the community.
Develop and implement short-term and long term plans to effectively manage the church’s facilities, security operations, food service operations, worship service operations, and special events.
Implement and plan for both preventative and predictive maintenance projects.
Develop the safety and security policies and practices of the church including overseeing teams of staff and volunteers as appropriate.
Develop and oversee construction initiatives for small projects within the church.
Develop staff policies for use of facilities and policies and procedures for staff.
Oversee contractors and vendors, setting expectations and monitoring progress.
Provide technical expertise related to assigned functions formulating policies, procedures, and practices.
Communicate with church leadership, staff members, contractors and others to coordinate maintenance and operations activities and programs, resolve issues and conflicts, and exchange information.
Develop and prepare an annual budget. Analyze and review budgetary and financial data. Monitor and authorize expenditures in accordance with guidelines.
Recruit, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration or a related field
Miniumum of five to seven years’ experience in facilities management, building and grounds operations, or related field including three to five years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Experience in a large church, educational institution, or non-profit organization is preferred.
