Job summary

Under the supervision of the Vice-President, Human Resources, the selected candidate will provide strategic advice and will support the Vice President of Sales for the Americas region and its management team. The candidate will provide guidance and leadership, coach the Directors and Managers located in multiples sites throughout the USA and will be working in close collaboration with other Human Resources professionals around the world.

You will promote the Human Resources agenda and best practices for that organization. You will play a role in key HR initiatives including employee and or labor relations, workforce planning, recruiting/staffing, organizational development, talent/performance management, diversity/inclusion, compensation and benefits, regulatory compliance and employee communications.

You will be in charge of the implementation of various initiatives arising from the corporation and its global HR strategy. In addition, you will have to recruit for all Sales positions within the Americas organization.

In collaboration with the Corporate Global Compensation team, you will manage the US benefits (Group insurance and 401(k)) in a cost-efficient manner and watch over developments and new legislations on that subject.

You ensure that all programs are deployed and applied locally, such as performance management, salary reviews, commission plans, development plans, succession plans and ensures compliance with Human Resources policies.

The Business Partner will make decisions on the application and/or interpretation of the laws, rules and regulations governing labor relations in America and when required, will take action in the settlement of issues.

When required, you will perform any other task related to this position.

We are seeking a dynamic person with a creative mind who is versed in all areas of managing Human Resources, who adapts easily in a fast-paced business environment and has the desire to work in collaboration both on a local and international level.

Technical skills

Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization including senior leaders.
Strong expertise of employment legislations in the United States;
Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required.
A team-oriented focus, leadership skills and strong business acumen are also important for superior performance in this position.
Experience within the telecommunication / IT sector is a strong asset;
Experience in working with a sales organization;
Experience with compensation and benefits.
Knowledge of SucessFactors or other HRIS Systems is an asset

Must have

Pertinent experience : At least 7 years of HR Business Partner or Generalist experience. Corporate experience preferred.

Language requirements: English (Excellent oral and written skills), French and/or Spanish would be an asset

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource management, business administration or related field
