JOB SUMMARY:
The Engagement Coordinator will assist in the development, curation, coordination and activation of content, programming and events designed to advance the culture of inclusion, enterprise-wide, at the PGA of America.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
Plan, create, schedule and coordinate the distribution of Diversity & Inclusion content across digital, social and print platforms (e.g. PGA.org, PGA Magazine, PGA Section Business Operations Portal, PGAImpact.org, PGASupplierInclusion.org, PGA Collegiate Championship, PGA WORKS and PGA Jr. League channels) that are aligned with the organization’s diversity and inclusion strategy to expand reach, grow awareness and drive engagement with internal and external customers and prospects.
Support the activation and assessment of workforce diversification, supplier inclusion and community engagement programs and events, in collaboration with strategic partners, as outlined in the Diversity & Inclusion Department Business Plan to develop a golf industry workforce, supply chain and golf consumer base that mirrors America.
Support the Diversity & Inclusion team’s collaboration across the organization’s core business products and functional support groups to help achieve a fully integrated approach to Diversity & Inclusion that generates measurable business outcomes.
Conduct research and gather insights that support program development, sales, and marketing efforts against the Diversity & Inclusion Department Business Plan.
Assist in the coordination and compilation of marketing and sales collateral, education and training materials, status reports and presentations to activate against departmental initiatives and programs.
Serve as a liaison for the Diversity & Inclusion strategic communications agency to ensure contractual deliverables are being met by both parties in a timely manner.
Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Diversity & Inclusion Department including the activation and assessment of programmatic deliverables in support of the Diversity & Inclusion Department Business Plan.

SUPERVISION:
No supervisory responsibilities.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
No financial responsibility.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in English, Journalism, Communications or related field.
Two years of relevant experience in communications and professional writing.
Experience in and/or with the subject matter of Diversity & Inclusion is a plus.
Proven social media and networking expertise.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word, as well as basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, is required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES -

Job Knowledge/Technology:
Must have knowledge of developing and writing content, along with an understanding that content must be updated continuously to remain relevant
Knowledge of communication strategies and the ability to develop multiple communication strategies, requiring excellent writing and editing skills
Ability to research and present findings
Ability to effectively convey the vision, ideas and goals of the PGA and D & I Team
Ability to leverage content marketing tactics and trends to drive traffic and engagement
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
