Warehouse Lead
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Lead to oversee our warehouse operations and manage our distribution center efficiently. This is a dynamic role that requires a strong understanding of warehouse management and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with a focus on inventory control, materials handling, and team management.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of warehouse associates to ensure they meet their daily targets and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Manage inventory control, including receiving, storing, and shipping products to meet e-commerce demands.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure warehouse facilities and equipment are safe and well-maintained.
- Implement and maintain a warehouse management system to track inventory levels and optimize warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with the warehouse management team to develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Use mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment and machines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Work closely with the AS400 team to ensure accurate inventory tracking and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or lead.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory control, materials handling, and distribution center management.
- Experience with warehouse management systems and the ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
- Proficiency in operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with equipment maintenance.
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the e-commerce industry and knowledge of online order fulfillment processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
