Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to provide support to the DOE IN contract located in Washington, DC. Join us as we build systems to change our client's mission for the better.
Develop and implement security solutions in alignment with security strategy.
Maintain an awareness of market and technology trends to bring best of breed solutions to the client.
Apply advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge.
Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members.
Advise on integrated, dynamic cyber defenses and leverage cybersecurity solutions to deliver cybersecurity operational services.
Apply a comprehension of monitoring, analyzing, detecting, and responding to cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks.
BA or BS degree
10+ years of experience with system engineering, computer science, information systems, engineering science, or engineering management
8+ years of experience as a cybersecurity engineer
Active TS/SCI clearance
Experience with integrating cybersecurity engineering principles into infrastructure planning, design, and deployment
Experience with security architecture design and integration
Experience with leading the operations of a production enterprise application
Experience with control consistency, integrity monitoring, and health checks of the operating system and applications
Knowledge of managing schedule, performance, and quality of the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
Ability to manage the schedule, performance, and quality of the systems development life cycle
Experience with systems, tools, and integrating data from sources, including Splunk, ElasticSearch, MISP, FireEye, Cisco Sourcefire, Palo Alto firewalls, Tanium, Snort, Bro, SolarWinds, NiFi, and RedSeal
Knowledge of government policies and terminologies in support of security requirements
