Full Job Description
The Associate Director will oversee administrative and operational activities for specified Cache Valley Small Business Development Center programs. The Associate Director will be responsible for supporting and implementing strategic direction for the Center. The Associate Director will provide general management consulting to clients of the Center. These consulting services may include business planning, business continuity and recovery, business process analysis, management training, managerial accounting, financial planning, marketing plan development, and other activities required to provide support to client businesses.
The Associate Director will be required to manage employees of the Center for associated projects and ensure the quality of consulting services offered by the Center. The Associate Director will coordinate and oversee workshops and other events of the Center to provide training to small business owners in the area. The Associate Director will promote technical services development for small businesses. The Associate Director will support the Director in work with other SBDC directors from around the State and coordinate activities internally within Utah State University as required.
The Associate Director will provide any needed support to the Center Director in administering program offerings of the Center, including the design of goals and measurements for assigned programs.
Business-related master's degree, MBA preferred
Business or technical related undergraduate degree
Previous experience as a management consultant (2 years+)
Experience securing an SBA loan
Understanding of managerial accounting and financial analysis
Ability to teach college-level business management courses
Ability to set and achieve Center goals
SBDC certified counselor enrollment
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Ability to learn Center IC
Previous experience with Constant Contact (or an equivalent email marketing program)
Basic knowledge of technology support tools
