Assignment Family: Technology Delivery - Identifies, architects, develops, deploys, and maintains existing and innovative technologies to support Aperture’s product roadmap and total product experience. Proactively provides insights to product leaders and executives on best use of technology to optimize Aperture’s financial and strategic objectives. Manages all risks to the availability, accuracy, and confidentiality of data dependent upon technology design, development, and maintenance. Supports all end users – clients and associates - in maximizing the technology investment. Optimizes expenditures on technology investment.

Assignment: Software Engineer - Develops systems code based on user stories that enhances new and existing functionality while meeting Aperture’s coding quality expectations. Works with business analysts and product owners to ensure code development meets business and client objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a team of developers and key operations staff on the design, development, and enhancement of new and existing system components
  • Own the development of defined code modules and features (as captured in Agile stories)
  • Anticipate and resolve complex problems that impact software design
  • Actively participate in all aspects of the SDLC for frond end and back end applications and services
  • Assist in critical technical and design decisions during the development process
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on detail and providing regular status updates with client-facing teams as well as IT management

Skills and Qualifications

  • Design, develop and debug code, databases, and stored procedures
  • Document solutions by developing and maintaining documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written
  • Proficient ability to work within structured Agile delivery processes, demonstrating good task definition, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment with developers, analysts, management, vendors, and customers

Tools and Technology

Required

  • Microsoft .NET Stack (C#, ASP.Net)
  • Entity Framework Core
  • Web Services
  • SQL Server 2012+

Desired

  • Experience with ASP.NET Core, RESTful API development, and Azure cloud environments
  • Front-end web development experience (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Angular)
  • Full SQL Server Database & BI suite (SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Experience working with legacy technologies (WinForms, VB, C++, Windows services, Java/JSP) and migrating them to new platforms

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years of experience as a .NET developer
