Oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions to provide fiscal leadership and timely and accurate financial information/analysis for Wyndham Managed Segment (WM).
Direct responsibility for WM Accounting and Reporting groups. including daily management of approximately 30 professionals, including 5 direct reports.
Direct responsibility for coordination of FP&A work for WM.
Timely and accurate reporting of actual results, and MD&A type information to Wyndham Hotel Corporate accounting and external reporting departments.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, coordination of Sarbanes-Oxley, and all WM financial accounting and control policies.
Liaison between WM and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Tax
Develop and enforce internal controls, SOX, accounting/authorization policies within WM accounting and reporting structures within the organization; heavy interaction with Internal and External auditors
Development of accounting positions and papers supporting reported results
Support future acquisitions through accounting reviews, integration of accounting functions, and purchase accounting. Work with Tax, Finance, Corporate Accounting and Treasury to complete any future acquisitions
Oversee the managed monthly billing function with Corepoint
Ensure Forecast preparation by local FP&A team.
This position is expected to work independently and with high level role direction to deliver the responsibilities.
The CAO will rely heavily on the decision making capability of this role and rely that the appropriate review and diligence has been applied.
CAO will look to this role to be the direct liaison with the SVP of FP&A for Wyndham Hotel.
Complete management of the financial reporting of WM segment
Strong leader capable of developing quality relationships with peers, management, and staff and, through flawless execution, gain confidence of the CAO and SVP of FP&A as well as other Wyndham Hotel executives and corporate officers.
Team-oriented with ability to direct large staff of many levels in a deadline-oriented environment while retaining focus on work/line balance for him/herself and staff.
Exceptional organizational skills with ability to multi-task and apply technical accounting concepts to diverse situations
CPA required with minimum of manager level reached at Big 4 or predecessor firm; MBA preferred
10+ years of accounting and reporting experience including oversight of GAAP, G/L maintenance, and accounting operations with revenue management components
Experience in leading a large staff of accounting professionals at various levels in various facets of accounting
6+ years of travel industry experience preferred
15% travel required
International accounting and tax structure experience preferred
