Junior Web Developer

CommunicateHealth, Inc. - Remote

We are looking for someone with genuine enthusiasm for the presentation layer and the ability (and eagerness) to learn new skills on the job. You will be responsible for:

Developing front-end templates for new web sites and applications
Making refinements and new-feature additions to existing client projects
Working closely with our team of designers on in-house deliverables
Communicating recommendations and requirements clearly, both with nontechnical clients and with technical partners

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as computer science, information design, business, communication, or the social sciences.
You have at least 1 to 2 years of professional experience.
You’re able to write consistent, standards-compliant XHTML and CSS
You have experience considering edge cases and thoroughly test your own code
You can implement responsive templates
You have a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (for PSD to HTML conversion), and a strong knowledge of at least one major CMS (e.g. WordPress or Drupal)
You have a proven ability to translate client needs into specific requirements
You have a working knowledge of search engine optimization strategies
You possess great attention to detail and production schedules
You have excellent communication skills and can work independently


Familiarity with usability standards or user-centered design best practices
Interest in public health, health education, and health communication fields
