Position： Quality, Environmental, and Safety Manager
A leading Japanese chemical company is seeking a Quality, Environmental, and Safety Manager with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree and experience with ISO9001 and ISO14001 compliance. Familiarity with TSCA filing (EPA related) is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Management:
- Supervise the Laboratory Supervisor and Shipping Specialist positions.
- Manage the Environmental Management System to meet the current ISO14001 standard.
- Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with the current ISO9001 standard.
- Ensure the QMS conforms to the standard.
- Monitor processes to ensure they deliver intended outputs.
- Report on the performance of the QMS and identify opportunities for improvement to top management.
- Promote a customer-focused approach.
- Maintain the integrity of the QMS.
Customer Relations:
- Act as the “Voice of the Customer” (management representative).
- Manage the ChemStewards management system for Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS).
- Provide expertise or technical assistance for regulatory, quality, and analytical chemistry issues.
- Support the sales department with customer concerns, product quality, analytical, and regulatory issues.
Quality Control:
- Maintain SPC spreadsheets for laboratory data on raw materials and finished products.
- Review, approve, and issue Certificates of Analysis for product release.
- Review and approve purchases for the Quality Assurance Laboratory.
Safety and Compliance:
- Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties are performed safely.
- Manage the Computer-Based Safety Training program.
- Manage the Medical Surveillance program.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in QA, environmental, and safety management.
- Experience with ISO9001 and ISO14001 compliance.
- Familiarity with TSCA filing (EPA related) is a plus.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Bi-weekly payroll, every other Friday.
- Flexible hours between 7am-5pm, 7 hours a day, 35 hours per week.
