The Global Demand Center (GDC) within our Corporate Marketing team is looking for a Director of our Shared Services team. In this role, you’ll need to be an IT marketing leader with a proven track record across program and digital marketing and a solid understanding of Red Hat’s marketing technologies, budget, and planning operations. You’ll work closely with program, partner, vertical, regional, and digital marketing teams, as well as marketing operations to ensure that our global portfolio campaign is aligned with business objectives and priorities. As a Director, you should have broad knowledge of Red Hat’s portfolio and culture, as well as deep experience guiding multiple program marketing initiatives across the portfolio and a proven record for solid collaboration across our marketing teams.
Primary job responsibilities
Improve existing processes and define new and improved integration points with other Red Hat’s marketing teams to create a high-performing marketing system; standardize marketing campaign planning, deliverables, field demand generation kits, digital investment, event activation, and content delivery aligned with the go-to-market framework by route, partner, vertical, and segment
Collaborate with other marketing functions to set and measure fiscal year key performance indicators for global demand generation
Define requirements for and guide adoption of outstanding dashboards, insights, and platforms to automate and support data-driven decision making in the GDC
Maximize budget efficiencies and partner co-funding opportunities to improve marketing return on investment
Facilitate communications within the GDC and regional teams
Prioritize production requirements across the GDC and in support of the sales conversations and KPI plans to date; ensure that campaign architecture and integration points are consistent to maintain the integrity of inbound lead flow
Coordination of content strategy, development, curation, life cycle management, measurement, and translations requirements for global demand generation teams
Supplement demand generation content development and training as program owners come and go and as gaps in teams appear
Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field; MBA or an advanced degree or equivalent experience are a plus
8+ years of relevant digital, portfolio and program marketing experience; significant amount of this experience should include work in both early-stage private company environments as well as in a publicly traded company; proven leadership in managing by objective
8+ years of software industry experience across a broad portfolio of technology areas
Proven success managing and planning at a global level, across multiple channels and product lines, competitors and partners, and broadly with the market as a whole
Demonstrated ability to manage global demand generation campaigns and achieve desired marketing contribution outcomes; solid marketing demand generation expertise, as well as political savvy
Combination of strategic and pragmatic skills, encompassing both solid strategic marketing abilities and direct tactical involvement
Familiarity with relevant open source communities and clear understanding of the open source development model
Proven record of success in a fast-moving, technical environment
Solid communication and operations skills
Willingness to travel up to 35%, including international travel
