SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a communications and marketing intern at our operational headquarters in Reston, VA. The primary project that the Intern will be assigned to is supporting the Communications and Marketing function, giving the intern broad exposure to planning, implementation and outcome measurement of strategies to generate profile and business activity for the the leading mid-tier government contracting company in the defense and aerospace sector.
Essential Job Duties
Support the creation and distribution of SOSi’s internal and external communications strategies.
Attend business function meetings to assist in identifying communication opportunities across the business.
Plan, design, implement and promote employee engagement events, including community engagement and employee volunteer activities.
Assist in creating and editing a variety of materials, including talking points, press releases, social media content and digital marketing materials.
Work with a variety of corporate departments to create and implement internal communication strategies,including promoting the company’s employee recognition awards program.
Assist in designing and implementing corporate-wide internship program guidelines, including orientation, training, communication and measurement.
Track, measure and report results.
Major in communications, marketing, graphic design, public relations or a related field
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects
Self-motivated and able to work independently as necessary or as part of a team
Work environment is normal for an office environment
