Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - Pharmacy Education and Rural Health, Pharmacy, Knoxville - 19000001UR
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Pharmacy is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track, faculty member at the level of assistant, associate or full professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science. Rank will be commensurate with past academic and scholarly record.

Responsibilities of the position are summarized below:
Teaching: The Department Chair or designee will assign teaching responsibilities including classroom teaching, experiential training, course directorship, and small group facilitation. The starting estimated percent effort in teaching is 35-40%.
Scholarship: Development and growth of regional and national recognition through research and scholarship in rural health, entrepreneurship, community pharmacy, or teaching and learning. This includes peer-reviewed publications, applying and securing external funding and presentations at national, regional, and local meetings. The starting estimated percent effort in scholarship is 10-15%.
Service: Fostering relationships with innovative community pharmacy experiential sites. Active participation in state and national organizations is expected to develop a regional and national reputation in rural health and community pharmacy. Participate in Department, College, and University committees as assigned. The starting estimated percent effort in service is 50%.
Successful candidates will hold a Pharm.D. degree, have completed at least a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, and have experience in rural health and/or independent pharmacy services. Applicants should be able to effectively communicate (written and oral). The candidate must have demonstrated ability to produce scholarly activity in the form of peer reviewed publications and have a history of service to professional and community organizations. The candidate is expected to work independently and with others in a team environment, and have a commitment to diversity and inclusivity in working with students, faculty, staff, community members, and stakeholders. Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Tennessee.
