The Associate Data Scientist will work closely with Senior Data Scientist to mine data, analyze and model variety data using advanced statistical methods for use in data driven decisions by business unit managers across the corporation. The Associate Data Scientist assists in the production of research and analysis to quantify the impact of internal and external operations. This position is responsible for summarizing, reporting, and providing polished presentations of findings to a variety of internal and external clients.

Ability to effectively work in team environment.

Critical thinking: able to look at numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
Efficiently work with large datasets.
Ability to design and implement model documentation and monitoring protocols.
Demonstrated understanding and experience with technical systems, datasets, data warehouses, and data analysis techniques.
Knowledge or experience with unsupervised and semi-supervised machine learning.
Familiarity with data visualization and modelling many of the ML algorithms: e.g., Clustering, Regularization, Bayesian inference, Decision Tree, etc.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Advanced SQL, R and Python programming knowledge required.
Familiarity with data visualization and modeling applications, e.g., DOMO and MS Azure application.
Possess a working knowledge of *nix shell scripting.
Comfortable with juggling facts, figures, and number crunching.
Attention to detail.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BA/BS in a related field required.
Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline, such as Computer Science, Economics, or Business Analytics, is preferred.
Minimum of three years of professional experience in data analysis.
Minimum of two years of related experience in the data sciences practice.
