Investigator: Organized Crime Task Force, White Plains
The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking qualified candidates for Investigator
positions located in various locations in the State. Candidates should be hard-working,
motivated and committed to public service on behalf of the people of the State of New York.
Investigators, under supervision, conduct detailed investigations of the circumstances,
facts and conditions connected with complaints and violations of the law, using the
highest level of independent judgment and discretion. These are often highly complex
and sensitive criminal matters which cross county lines and involve organized crime.
The qualifications for this position are: Experience planning and conducting
surveillance; experience interviewing witnesses; ability to translate and transcribe
conversations in Spanish; experience investigating a variety of frauds, including money
laundering, forged and counterfeit checks, and identity theft; experience investigating
internal affairs; established contacts within the law enforcement community in the New
York City area. Preferred qualification: Knowledge of electronic eavesdropping.

Qualifications in addition to those listed above:
Must have at least ten years of law enforcement experience and current NYS basic police
Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license and have the ability to drive a motor vehicle.
The Public Officer’s Law requires that police officers at the OAG be citizens of the United States
and reside in New York State.
Performance of the duties may require frequent, unscheduled work on evenings and weekends.
