CONTINUOUS FILING:
The District is accepting applications for temporary assignment. The duration of this assignment is eight (8) hours and may work up to six (6) months. SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Individuals interested in employment are required to complete an official district application. Applicants are asked to describe any training, education, experience or skills relevant to this position. Resumes are optional. Applications will be screened based on the minimum qualifications shown for the position. Qualified candidates will be identified at each step of the selection process for further consideration. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Under general supervision of the Supervisor of Maintenance, independently performs journey level work in a building and construction trade (carpentry, electrical, locksmith, masonry, painting, plumbing, and welding and glazing). Duties are primarily performed at the journey level in the area of specialization, but will also perform basic support duties in other trades as required to complete projects. Work relationships extend beyond the peer group to District staff, outside contractors, experts and students. Requires strong communication skills to discuss complex technical information. Work may be outside in adverse weather conditions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED and a completion of a formal apprenticeship or a high school diploma and one (1) year of experience working at a journey level. Certificates: Requires a valid California driver’s license.
