We're looking for a kind, compassionate, and responsive receptionist to join us in our mission but supporting the growing needs of our Children and Family Services in our Duluth location.

To accommodate the schedules of the children and families we serve, some evening hours are required for this position.

  • Strong computer/keyboarding, spelling, and communication skills required
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work efficiently both independently and within a team setting
  • Ability to organize work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions
  • Ability to work with confidential materials in a manner that is compliant with HIPAA

  • Updates client information including insurance information, referral notes, demographic information, service tabs, assigned staff, etc
  • Collects co-pays at of service. Requests and copies insurance cards when they are available for medical records to scan in
  • Provides any necessary forms/documentation needing completion, obtains signatures as necessary
  • Schedule appointments in an accurate and timely manner
  • Verify insurance coverage for active clients
  • Answer telephones and respond appropriately to
  • Check-in patients in an accurate and client-centered manner
  • Assist with clerical duties including, faxing, printing, mail sorting, etc
  • Other general office duties as assigned
  • Receive, scan and upload to electronic medical records system promptly and accurately (within 2-3 day turnaround time per agency policy)
