Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Youth and Family Coordinator will assist in providing engaging and educational programming and care for children participating in Youth and Family activities while exemplifying the four core values of the YMCA; Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

Must support the mission of the YMCA of Greater Kansas City and promote the character development values Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Must provide activities, arts and crafts, and YMCA of Greater Kansas City approved curriculum.
Must actively engage youth in long-term community development activities.
Must maintain a safe environment for youth providing good health and safety standards.
Must interact with youth daily, greeting youth and parents as they arrive and leave the program.
Maintain records of youth participating in program.
Assist in the recruitment of volunteers for all youth programs.
Must participate in special events.
Must participate in fundraising activities.
Participate in the Annual Mission Campaign.
Must notify appropriate staff of any unsafe conditions, needed repairs, complaints, accidents, or injuries immediately.
Attend community functions and events to promote the YMCA, its mission and programs.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Able to reflect a positive image and attitude.
18 years of age.
Minimum of one year experience working with youth related field.
Ability and interest in relating to people of varied backgrounds in a friendly and consistent manner.
