SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The IT Support & Administration Analyst will provide front line IT support services and administrative support to the NC Ports IT team. Act as the IT team’s first line of communication and customer service. Responsible for receiving, recording and managing IT support issues. Maintain support contracts, conduct It procurement coordination and vendor management.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Receive, record and act on in-coming IT support inquires
Escalate reported IT issues to 2nd and 3rd level support resources
Manage IT maintenance contracts – produce requisitions
Develop and maintain service levels
Develop and maintain performance reports and key metrics
Provide administrative support for the IT department
All other duties as assigned by management

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Associate’s degree in IT or related field, however, a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
3+ years of experience in systems/networking administration in a distributed computing environment including PC’s, Servers, Printers, LAN/WAN communications and TCP/IP protocol.
Although not required, MCSA/MCSE is preferred.
Proficient in installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft Windows 2000, 2003 and XP.
Strong analytical skills for operating and technical assessment, diagnosis, and correction.
Innovative, forward thinker.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Ability and desire to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to challenge current methods and practices to discover process improvement opportunities.
Willingness to be fully accountable to key metrics and operational goals relevant to the business and the responsibilities of the position.
Willingness to work hours as needed to get the job done.
Ability to manage complex internal situations as well as those of customers and vendors.
Very high ethical standards and professional conduct.
Must have a valid driver’s license and meet TWIC security requirements.
