Job Overview

Financial Gravity Companies, Inc is looking for a confident self-starter, that can effectively and expeditiously respond to improve client satisfaction and drive results. A precise, thorough and expert in the field of IRS tax laws and tax preparation. Your primary responsibility will be to review tax returns, recommend tax saving strategies and support your clients through their business life cycle. As a tax advocate, you will be responsible for adhering to rules & regulations applicable to this position set by the IRS and firm.

  • Demonstrate expertise in tax planning and tax returns; basic and complex
  • Preparation and submission of business & personal income tax returns
  • Design, track, recommend and implement Tax Strategies for clients
  • Effectively manage client expectations with implementation of our proprietary systems TBP® and TOS®
  • Ability to oversee bookkeeping, payroll and franchise tax processes
  • Act in a liaison capacity between the client, employees outsourcing vendors
  • Critical thinking skills to accurately review and process data and attend to detail
  • Ability to work independently to prioritize while minimizing client and company risk
  • Conduct quality improvement inspections to ensure quality and satisfaction levels are meeting and/or exceeding expectations.
  • Recommend process or procedural changes to generate efficiencies
  • Always promotes a positive customer service mindset
  • Respond to all requests from the client and internal team with a “can do” attitude. Handle requests with a sense of urgency
  • Perform other duties as required

Desired Education, Experience and Skills

· 4+ years of experience in tax related role

· Bachelors Degree in financial services preferred

· Enrolled Agent required

· CPA designation preferred

· Experience in Drake and QuickBooks (or equivalent)

· Advanced level of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

· Bookkeeping knowledge using Balance Sheets and P&L’s

· Critical thinking skills needed to assess, identify, recommend and execute improvements

· Ability to work independently and adjust priorities as needed

· Proficiency in written and oral communications

· High level of customer service skills
