General Position Summary:
Responsible for design and operation of integrated systems for the production of high-quality, economically competitive products. These systems may include computer networks, robots, machine tools, and materials-handling equipment.
Special Skill Set(s) Required:

Clearly communicates to Management issues and corrective actions.
Responsible to develop tools, processes, machines and equipment to integrate the facilities and systems for producing quality product with the optimum expenditure of capital.
Expert in composite process and specifications of thermoset and/or thermoplastic parts and structures.
Capable of communicating with management and supporting organizations personnel.
Responsible to develop and/or check industrialization plans. Establishes sequences of operations to fabricate and assemble composite products that promote efficient utilization of equipment and labor.
Responsible for the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
Responsible for applying and establishing statistical methods, which control the process and maximize productivity.
Responsible to support various products, equipment and disciplines to increase productivity, quality, efficiency, volume and/or environmental requirements.
Responsible for implementation of continuous improvements by the use of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen methods.
Capable of creating or providing feedback of production schedules and milestones.
Capable of reviewing drawings, models, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures and activities.
Experience in establishing qualification plans, in order to qualify processes and equipment to the customer specifications.
Expertise in composite autoclave or oven curing cycles, thermal profiles, recipes, thermal effects, thermal expansion, wrinkles and tooling spring back effects.
Capable of designing or defining the requirements for the development of equipment, robotics, Lay-up molds, Vacuum Holding Fixtures, Shop Aids, Positioning fixtures, Go-No-Go inspection tools required for the manufacturing of new products.
Capable of developing and implementing methods, which increase productivity of work center.
Capable of performing safety, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and Total Product Maintenance (TPM) for new and existing equipment.
Capable of performing Corrective and Preventive Actions, utilizing analytical reasoning, and the use of industry standard methods, such as 8D or other equivalent root cause analysis.
Coordinates with vendors, staff and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and incident/project status.
Applies engineering principles when analyzing data and investigating issues.
Patrols and monitors work areas, examining tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules.
Responsible for developing production standards.
Responsible for evaluating or checking other manufacturing engineers work.
Understanding of industrial engineering practices, such as, time studies, statistical analysis, ergonomic impacts, value engineering principals.
Provides mentoring to other manufacturing engineers.
Specific Job Skills:
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Read and comprehend drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of Boeing and Airbus process and specifications.
Skilled in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
Epicor experience or equivalent ERP system
Proficient in verbal and written communication skills; able to prepare technical documents to be sent to customers.
Proficient in Catia V5, Inventor, Pro-e, Solid Works, or other 3-Dimensional CAD system.
Familiar with Fiber Sim or equivalent (Draping software for lay-up wrinkles and ridging)
Familiar with Delmia Siemons or Inventor CFD or equivalent (Thermal Profile)
Familiar with COMPRO Simulation Software (Spring Back Issues)
Familiar with Fiber Sim Draping Software (Draping and Wrinkles)
Understanding of AS9100D and NADCAP standards

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor s Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 8+ years.
Non-degree applicants 15+ years minimum experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in this job description.
