This position is for a Jr. Software Developer providing assistance with tickets, development, and integrations related to our evolving software product. Located in West Chester, PA, the candidate will become an integral team member for our electronic Student Health Record (SHR) software. The ideal candidate will understand the data model of the business and perform research and updates to the business’s data store in response to client requests. This position will require a combination of technical, forensic, and interpersonal skills. Additionally, this position offers opportunities to learn Java, JavaScript, Linux system administration, and other technologies. All candidates should be goal oriented engineers who enjoy prioritizing work, task completion, and do not require micromanagement.

Responsibilities:
Execute full software development life cycle
Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
Document and maintain software functionality
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or Programming
Ability to quickly learn business rules and how those correlate to the data model
Ability to build relationships with business and technology stakeholders
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self-starter with excellent teamwork and prioritization
Enjoys extensive research as a tool in problem solving
Strong analytical abilities
Detail and goal oriented
Interested in working as an integral member of a small office environment

Preferred Experience:
Experience with JAX-RS, Spring-WS, Hibernate, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, React and other JavaScript libraries is a plus
