Reporting to Aerospace, Technology, Environment & Nuclear (ATEN) Senior Vice President of Global Growth Strategy, this position provides the critical link between our company brand and positioning (what Jacobs wants to be known for) and the sales, technology and delivery teams within Jacobs three lines of businesses that are innovating to realize that goal. Jacobs is a professional services leader advancing innovative solutions for a more connected, sustainable world. In this way, we make a positive difference providing a full spectrum of services including scientific, technical, professional and construction- and program-management for business, industrial, commercial, government and infrastructure sectors. The Global Line of Business Communications Directors for our respective Lines of Business (LOB) provide strategic counsel to our LOB leaders to promote thought-leadership, stories and content that reinforce the company's narrative and growth initiatives, while still addressing the nuanced needs of the clients we serve and our industry-leading solutions and technology. The Line of Business Communications Directors help to prioritize and align our external communication efforts, investments and resources to support Jacobs industry and client-centric go-to-market strategy in a way that also builds the broader Jacobs brand. This group understands that less is more, and will focus on promoting the highest value targeted capabilities in alignment with corporate and LOB strategic priorities, to maximize market impact and build a "halo" Jacobs brand affect. They will develop effective marketing and communication strategies that promote and advance thought leadership and company engagement (both internal and client) by leveraging the appropriate combination of tactics such as news releases, thought leadership blogs, editorial, advertising, social media, email marketing, targeted trade show and conference events and other client engagement methods. This function is responsible for developing and executing a content marketing strategy that differentiates our position in the industry and enhances the reputation of the firm. This function collaborates closely with External Communications, Internal Communications and Creative Services to provide a coordinated and holistic approach to marketing and communications that builds trust and confidence internally with key stakeholders, while advancing the company's strategy and position in the external marketplace.
Develop trusted relationships with LOB leaders and partner/collaborate with them to help drive their success and the company's success.
Develop and execute a client-focused marketing and communications strategy that promotes Jacobs thought-leadership and strongly differentiates the company in the global marketplace.
Strengthen, through a robust story pipeline, the company's brand equity, valuation and favorable recognition.
Drive quality and discipline in meeting LOB and corporate commitments.
Mentor and collaborate with other communicators in the department to develop a coordinated and holistic approach to marketing and communications that builds trust and confidence internally with key stakeholders.
Promote and uphold Jacobs Communication Policy and consistently reinforce the company's brand standards.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
15 years of experience in corporate communications and public affairs (including supervisory/managerial experience).
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Integrated Marketing, Journalism or technical field; OR High School diploma and 25 years of experience in communications and public affairs.
Experience in developing and executing high-profile communications initiatives.
Experience interacting with employees at all levels of an organization, including senior leadership Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain security clearance in the future, if needed.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Bachelors or Masters degree strongly preferred
Comparable industry experience (engineering/construction/architecture OR aerospace/defense) or other professional services experience is strongly preferred.
Ability to see the corporate-level perspective, the LOB goals and objectives, and the fine details needed to implement complex communications.

Ability to communicate complex information concisely and in an understandable, meaningful way to a broad range of global constituents.
Excellent oral communications skills to interact with employees at all levels of the organization, especially senior leadership.
Excellent copywriting and editorial skills with knowledge of Associated Press style.
Excellent project manager, able to manage multiple, simultaneous deadlines.
Ability to collaborate with diverse employees from various cultures located around the world.
