Position Description

The Systems Administrator/IT Support role reports to the VP, Engineering and is based in our office in San Mateo. This is an entry level position with room to grow and get exposure to a number of cutting edge big data and machine learning systems.

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide IT support both in office and at Data Center

Administer Linux systems
Hardware support in data center

Server hardware installation and management

Basic enterprise grade network configuration and installation

Learn to administer AWS permissions

Required Qualifications:
Associates degree or equivalent work experience

Linux Systems Administrator experience
Experience configuring and installing server hardware

Experience with basic setup of network infrastructure including switches, hubs and routers

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a start-up environment

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience with VMWare and/or Cloudera strongly preferred

Cisco certification or similar a plus
