As an Inside Sales Representative (ISR), you’ll be responsible for driving sales in healthcare facilities throughout the United States. This position is part of North American Commercial Operations (NACO) and acts as a sales revenue channel for STERIS. The primary responsibility of the ISR is to build relationships, uncover needs of our Customers, and develop meaningful and valuable solutions. This is done by taking an agile approach to each and every opportunity and using strong research and pre-call planning skills to develop quality calls and emails. The position focuses primarily on our Consumable portfolios within the Infection Prevention Technology business unit, but this can change based on the needs of the business. You will be assigned a defined region(s) to promote STERIS to current and future Customers.

What You Will Do:
Establish routine call patterns for contacting existing and prospective Customers by telephone and other means to generate sales for all healthcare products and services in order to achieve revenue objectives and metrics set by management
Prepare quotations for Customers that are consistent with all established guidelines for healthcare facilities that are members of national chains (e.g. USPI, SCA) or members of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs)
Probe to fully uncover and understand Customer needs, objectives and goals and effectively match our products, services and technologies to assist in solving Customer issues
Effectively communicates the strengths and competitive advantages of STERIS products, services and technologies and how the application of these can assist the Customer in meeting their objectives
Travel to assigned region if called upon and if the opportunity yields a high ROI and meets the needs of the business
Responsible for product trials, often times in conjunction with Field Sales counterparts, if Customer requests a sales representative on-site or needs in-servicing
Submit and execute an accurate sales forecast on a monthly and quarterly basis
What You Need to be Successful:
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in outside sales, customer service, or tele-sales, OR 6+ years of related experience in lieu of degree
Ability to relocate for a field sales position
Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint – Office based programs
Strong decision-making skills; understands how decisions impact the Customer and the Company
Strong analytic skills (data gathering, analysis, and recommendation development)
Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity
Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and presentation
