SharpSpring is looking for a Director of Content Marketing to join our Marketing Team in Gainesville, FL as the company’s expert on our target customers (how they buy and their buying criteria) and our competitors (key differentiators and unique value propositions). This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills. You will lead a team of content developers who are responsible for the go-to-market and content marketing strategies. You and your team will be responsible for developing messaging and creating content that resonates with our target audiences and converts prospects to leads and leads to sales.

Our marketing team includes fun, progressive people with a strong team spirit. We are looking for another creative, collaborative team member who takes their job, but not themselves, too seriously!

Responsibilities
Messaging: Turn features and functionality specs into product positioning and content that convey the business benefits to prospective customers.
Content Creation: Work as part of the Creative Services Team to develop compelling lead-generation content (web content, emails, white papers, case studies, videos, social media content and other materials) that converts prospects to leads. Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all the content created.
Sales Enablement: Support the Sales Team by creating materials that shorten the sales cycle and convert leads to wins (slide decks, product sheets, competitor kill sheets).
Product/Feature Launches: Work with the Product Team to develop and execute plans and materials as we launch new products and features.
Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of the changing market landscape (customer behaviors/needs and competitor activities) and share that information with the Product, Sales, and Marketing teams.
Leadership: Ability to provide strategic guidance to the team and bring projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.
The Person
7-10 years of marketing experience, preferably with a software company
Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
Knowledge of marketing automation or email marketing platforms
Knowledge of marketing agency space a plus
B2B marketing and SaaS experience a plus
Excellent writing and eagle-eye editing skills, with a focus on tone and style consistency
Demonstrable experience in transforming a feature list into value propositions and benefits that matter to prospective customers
Experience at building and leading a team and managing cross-functional teams
Ability to coach a team and provide content feedback
Willingness to travel 10% of the time for conferences or other company events
Proven creative thinker who generates and executes on innovative marketing ideas with limited guidance
