Business Systems Analyst II - Direct Hire

Our client located in Richmond is hiring a BSA level II for a direct hire position. This job reports to the PMO and is responsible for identifying and implementing end to end process and technology solutions across business operations. The ideal individual for this position is proactive and flexible, has an eye for improving business processes and an aptitude to quickly develop, quantify and prioritize solutions. The Business Analyst will be working closely with business users, IT and 3rd Party Suppliers to deliver capabilities and solutions that maximize the value of the company’s investments.

Job Summary:

  • Work with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to understand high level business needs and elicit detailed requirements using various methods
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop, quantify and prioritize process and technical solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders, IT and third party suppliers
  • Conduct market research and leverage previous knowledge of best practices during solution design
  • Prepare detailed functional and technical documentation
  • Participate in the development of RFIs and RFPs and the vendor selection process
  • Develop project success criteria to justify investments and measure their success throughout the project lifecycle
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Escalate issues to the Manager and/or Sr. Manager in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Regular attendance is required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience designing and deploying process and technology solutions
  • Supply chain and/or transportation experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate ideas, both written and oral, clearly and concisely
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to lead and influence all levels of the organization including senior management
  • Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
  • Must be able to interact well with others
  • Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
  • Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
