Job Description

GTI Business & Financial Planning provides a wide range of analysis, process development and reporting in support of Global Technology Infrastructure. B&FP has a presence in all major regions and oversees traditional finance support, investment management, vendor management, recoveries, resource management and location strategy. The combined organizations scale to a Pre Tax Recoverable Base ~ $3B and 8,000 resources.

Core Responsibilities include:
Budget Management, Cost Control, Financial Reporting and Analysis
Complete monthly GTI product area reports for business managers, assimilate business feedback, and ensure financial impacts are reflected in the Forecast
Ensure all standard monthly close and reporting processes are complete including:
Update, maintain and reconcile forecast file, linking into headcount, vendor, telecom, investment and asset files
Compile and upload forecasts into Smart View
Analyse and explain variances against Plan and Forecast
Monthly accruals and prepays management, monthly meetings with accounting teams
Provide capital forecasts for input into corporate reporting
Verify monthly asset uploads from WIP
Manage headcount
Planning on an annual basis: ensuring appropriate BAU and investment funding is accounted for with service owner collaboration in a timely fashion.

Investment Financial Management:
Provide monthly investment expense and save reports for investment portfolio
Financial Modelling and feasibility studies as needed, i.e. Cash Flow Analysis, Cost Benefit

Financial Inventory Management, Internal Controls:
Update, maintain and reconcile productivity file
Update, maintain and reconcile telecom data
Update, maintain and reconcile asset file

Vendor Management
Monthly meetings with business leads to compare vendor projections
Ensure all data is reconciled to Investment and forecast positions
Update, maintain and reconcile detailed vendor files regarding actual spend and forecasting

Strategic & Business Partnering
Client support (GTI managers, service owners, project managers etc.)
Operational efficiency assessment
Procurement / Sourcing engagement where required to better understand vendor spend

Core Competencies
Needs to have financial / accounting experience
Logical, analytical, clear thinker
Ability to deal with several priorities simultaneously and maintain a flexible approach.
Essbase, Smart View, and SAP experience would be advantageous
Proactive approach to improvement

Good relationship builder
Excellent spreadsheet skills
Ability to create ad hoc reporting
