To Supervise and manage all aspects of the three departments of the store in order to maximize sales, commercial opportunities and controlling costs to achieve business targets. Will have autonomy of the commercial, operational and HR aspects, throughout the store.
Responsibilities
- Actively drive sales by implementing sales building initiatives across the three departments through effective analysis of the company commercial reports and visual layout.
- To drive sales to improve store performance and to support managers to keep within budget. To ensure the profit and productivity goals are met by contributing towards the management of payroll hours, sales and P&L.
- Determine the strategy of the store, always striving to maximize sales and Store opportunities.
- Supervise managers for controlling and managing stock, product rotation, orders, and devolutions alongside the product manager in Spain.
- To be well informed about current industry trends and to constantly analyze the competitor’s product and market in order to be able to maximize sales.
- Manage and maintain the relationship and communication with Product Departments in the Central Office in Spain.
- Promote participatory management style and ensure a positive working environment exists within all the departments in the store.
- Provide input to company wide projects to ensure Zara USA is able to constantly improve performance.
- To work with HR in order to create and have actions plans in place for succession in the three departments.
- Identifying potential talent for the three departments, also being aware about vacancies and opportunities in other stores.
- Ensure a high level of customer service standards are consistently attained in the store in the three departments.
- Ensure the store is compliant with all company initiatives.
- Lead by example to perpetuate the Zara USA culture.
Qualifications
- Store Manager or Area manager experience (min. 3 years)).
- Experience within a fast growing and dynamic business would be a distinct advantage.
- Fashion/textile design qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
- Proven track record of commercial achievements.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to set goals and establish performance standards.
- High level of numeracy, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Well established planning skills and an ability to take a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Ability to demonstrate commerciality involving current trends and forecasting future trends.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building partnerships, managing conflict and influencing others.
- Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results.
- Proven record in coaching and developing people to improve performance and achieve professional goals.
