Overview
We have a great job opportunity to touch lives and make an impact! Lakeview Health Center Assisted Living in West Salem has several openings. We're currently looking to fill a couple of openings in our state of the art Assisted Living Homes working as a Resident Care Assistant. These positions do not require you to be a Certified Nursing Assistant. You will work with people who are committed to helping others. Gain experience working directly with individuals with intellectual and mental health disabilities in our community setting. Work in a home like setting where duties will range from: assisting with housekeeping, and food preparation; accompany and transport to appointments, outings and work sites; as well as personal cares.

Hours of Work/Shifts Available:
We have current openings, what is available changes frequently. Available shifts could change daily. For more information you may call the Human Resources Department at 1-608-612-0635.
Positions could range from: Part-time (every other weekend) to Full-time (60 to 80 hours every two weeks)
**All positions will include working every other weekend and a holiday rotation.

Pay and Benefits:
For Certified Nursing Assistant the wage is $14.03/hour for nearly full-time with benefits or $16.75 for every other weekend.
For Non-Certified the wage is $11.86/hour.

We offer great shift differentials on top of the base wage:
Shift differentials: 5pm - 10pm is $1.50/hr; and 10pm - 5am is $2.00/hr;
As well as a weekend differential of $1.00/hr for some positions.

Essential Job Functions

Assist residents in all areas of personal hygiene, activities of daily living and care of their living area and personal belongings. Assist residents at mealtime including food prep, feeding and supervision of residents while dining. Perform duties such as temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weights, medication administration and treatments under the general supervision of a Nurse as allowed under regulation. Coordinate and accompany residents to work sites, appointments, and a variety of community events. Drives facility vehicles in the transportation of residents to community events, medical or dental appointments etc. Performs routine home and lawn service, i.e. light housekeeping, lawn mowing, shoveling. Changes bed linens, collects laundry and assists with housekeeping duties (vacuums, dust, bathroom and kitchen clean up). Works with manager to implement planned recreation/social programs and to engage clients. Answer phones and directs calls, greets visitors and performs some clerical duties as necessary.

Training, Experience and Other Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
For those that are a Certified Nursing Assistant, they must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.
For those that are not certified, prefers previous experience performing personal care duties in a related setting.
Prefer experience working with geriatric, mentally ill or developmentally disabled persons. Employees driving County vehicles must have and maintain a valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
Must successfully pass a background check as required by the Wisconsin Caregiver Law.
Must be 18 years of age.
