The Sr. Manager Finance for the Roche Sequencing Solutions (RSS) CLIA Lab in San Jose, California, will be responsible for financial matters related to the site and serve as a key business partner to the Head of Business RSS CLIA Lab by providing decision support and guidance on shaping and driving the strategy for the CLIA lab. This position will work closely with CLIA management and directly manage an accounting and finance team supporting the CLIA lab.
Act as single point of contact for all financial matters relating to the to CLIA lab, coordinating with finance colleagues in Business Unit (BU), Business Area (BA), Affiliates, and Global Operations as necessary. Develops and maintains strong liaisons with these colleagues.
Provide leadership and direction to site accounting and finance staff, including facilitating a continuous employee feedback process to enhance processes and staff development. Aligns staff activities with BA and CLIA lab goals and objectives.
Ensure close connectivity with Revenue Cycle Management, including Reimbursement and Billing functions, as well as with the NIPT Life Cycle Team.
Continually challenge and improve financial processes and data structures, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy at all times. Responsible for the efficient and purposeful integration of processes and systems.
Oversee CLIA lab financial activities, including financial results, budgets, forecasts, general accounting, billing, and financial analysis. Create and deliver on key CLIA financial metrics, including ad-hoc analysis as required, for various stakeholders.
Provide strong business partnering to deliver strategic insights that impact and support business performance through proactive identification of cost reduction or cost avoidance, asset utilization and other opportunities.
Education and Experience:
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field.
Preferred: MBA or CPA certification
Job Related Experience:
Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS)
10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Effective presentation and analytical skills
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders on all levels
High ethical standards, personal and business integrity
Superior people management skills and a team player
Solid understanding of medical billing and reimbursement structure
Experience in a diagnostic or medical device company and/or in a highly matrix organization
