Warehouse Supervisor-Tonawanda, NY
The Warehouse Supervisor plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production floor. Ensures a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements based on work orders.

Plans and coordinates work, monitors and evaluates performance of shipping, receiving and stock room associates; ensures their ability to safely move materials to and from storage configurations; counsels, records and disciplines as necessary.
Monitors the unloading of all materials into the receiving department; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiver(s) report material received in accurately. Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports. Oversees the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse or stock room.
Oversees the supplying of materials to the production floor and stages material for assembly and sub-assembly. Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse and stock room.
Monitors and measures receiving and stock room performance for location accuracy, receiving reporting, movement and storage of material, as well as stock transfers.
Performs various inventory counts; order supplies and goods as needed
Responsible for cycle counting process and documentation
Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management processes
Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training and operate machinery safely according to company protocol
Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Excel and data entry systems
Level of Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
3 to 5 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management in a manufacturing environment, with 2 years of supervisory experience with direct reports
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
Ability to Make an Impact: Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organization
3-5 years: 3 to 5 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management in a manufacturing environment, with 2 years of supervisory experience with direct reports
