Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required and/or completion of training in Medical Technology required.

Minimum of 2 years experience in Blood Bank.

MT(ASCP)Certification is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Detects and corrects errors in tests and reports.

Accepts assigned cross-training to other clinical departments and works in other clinical departments as assigned.

Is able to perform all tests within clinical department accurately and precisely.

Handles technical matters within the clinical department.

Reports all abnormal and/or out of control patient results to supervisor, division head or Pathologist.

Records patient information and results. Phones as required.

Correctly handles critical care value results.

Maintain equipment used for testing and record daily preventative maintenance as required; be able to troubleshoot problems on instruments.

Monitors, performs and records all appropriate quality controls.

Keeps records for QC/AQ Reports.

Informs appropriate personnel promptly when supplies and supplies of reagents are low or about to expire.
