Job Summary:
The Senior Tax Specialist will be a confident, dynamic, and sophisticated Tax professional with a thorough understanding of institutional real estate, significant multifamily experience, and a demonstrated track record of value creation.
The Senior Tax Specialist performs accounting activities to ensure that the company meets its legal reporting requirements with respect to Federal, State and Local tax laws. This position is responsible for tax compliance, tax planning, and accounting for income taxes. Oversees tax policies and objectives. Works Strategically with the Company’s CPA firm
Job Responsibilities:
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
Ability to interpret and comply with International, Federal, State and Local tax and financial regulations.
Knowledge of computerized accounting systems and applications
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritizes, and meets deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Preparing and filing tax documents and returns, including for payroll and income tax
writing detailed tax reports, and addressing any tax errors or issues that arise
Manage tax return process with CPA firm across the portfolio
Ensuring that all tax forms are filled out accurately and on time
Timely distribution of K-1’s to all Investors
Helping to develop a company’s tax strategy by reviewing financial statements
Build and manage Qualified Opportunity Zone Fund audit file to support fund level accounting
Manage Property tax abatements and exemptions across multiple regions
Prepare and manage semiannual QOZF testing and supporting documentation

Proven account management or other relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level

Pay: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
