Description
The Customer Service Assistant will accept and process payments presented in person and by mail using a computer system and various software applications including water bills, parking tickets, privilege license and various other fees. Responsibilities include accepting and accurately posting payments, maintaining and balancing a cash drawer on a daily basis, opening and sorting mail payments including operation of automated mail opening equipment and any other duties that may be assigned for the successful operation of the Collections Division. This position has constant public contact and the employee must have the ability to provide accurate, prompt and courteous customer service in a busy, sometimes stressful environment. The employee in this position must be very flexible, adapt easily to change and will be required to rotate between two payment collection locations. 10-key calculator skills will be tested as part of the interview process and a criminal record and credit check will be performed.The job is NON-EXEMPT under FLSA.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED
1+ years bank/credit union teller or utilities cashier experience
Experience using 10-key calculator

An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):
3-4 years bank/credit union teller or utilities cashier experience
Experience with iNovah Cashier Software
Experience with enQuesta Utility Software
Experience with Microsoft Office or comparable applications
Requirements
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm (occasional overtime possible)
