Position: Marketing and Communications Creative Specialist Level: Specialist

Summary: The Marketing and Communications Creative Specialist is a member of the Marketing and
Communications Team. The primary objective of this position is to achieve enterprise measures for
member engagement, member satisfaction and brand perception through Marketing and Communications
content. This role coordinates with the Marketing and Communications Team, is an integral part of the
production of The Trident magazine and collaborates with other departments throughout Tri Delta's
Executive Office (EO) as needed to ensure a long-term Marketing and Communications strategy is
implemented as cohesively and excellently as possible.

  • 2-4 years of related experience with expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign,
Photoshop and Illustrator, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote. This person will be
responsible for ample proofreading and editing of their work.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required
  • Experience with photography and illustration is a plus
  • Ability to work independently

Primary Roles: Graphic design, The Trident production, type design and print production

Reports To: Creative Director

Supervises: N/A

Travel: Up to 15%

Typical Week: 40 hours

Key Responsibilities: The Marketing and Communications Creative Specialist will act as a key support
resource for The Trident magazine to ensure premier quality content and creative project work is
delivered to meet the needs of the organization. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the

  • Support the positioning of Tri Delta for long-term membership experience and brand awareness

  • Communicate upwards anything requiring CEO or Leadership Team approval
  • Complete projects within approved budget
  • Align the organization internally around the brand, marketing objectives and key communications
  • Assist in design and production of The Trident publication; assist in art direction of photo and
video shoots and help with printing quotes and press checks
  • Work with the creative director to develop creative strategy and branding for Convention,
LeaDDD, Collegiate Leadership Conference (CLC) and Volunteer Leadership Conference (VLC)
  • Participate in project teams as needed in response to project requests and create premier quality
content for the organization
  • Provide creative support to events (Convention, LeaDDD, CLC, VLC) including PowerPoint
development, signage and printed materials among others, as needed
  • Provide creative support as needed for Tri Delta Shop, extension and other projects
  • Maintain the quality and integrity of team design projects and keep them consistent throughout
their campaign
  • Must be highly-organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
