The Systems and Data Analytics role within Corporate Risk Management – Compliance Monitoring and Testing is responsible for developing enhanced risk monitoring in key consumer compliance risk areas.
The Compliance tester is responsible for assessing first-line business processes and controls and develop monitoring tools to test for adherence with federal and state regulatory requirements. The role collaborates with management to identify compliance issues and design tools to monitor such occurrences. The role also requires collaboration with other business units such as Compliance Advisory, Audit, Compliance, Technology and Line of Business including, but not limited to: Cards, Deposits, Personal Loans, Student Loans and Home Equity Loans in sharing best practices.
Develop continuous monitoring solutions for rapid identification of consumer compliance risk occurrences by applying analytic techniques. Develop, test, and implement quantitative solutions (e.g. models, reports, other analytic processes) that leverage structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources
Manage solution development process, which includes: diagnosis of need and the development of a related requirement specification; system development planning; creation and implementation of a test plan; ongoing project oversight during the development phase; and comparison of the solution delivered with the original specifications.
Partner with business process owners and technology teams to implement effective, accurate, and high-value analytic solutions
Analyze large quantities of data to identify risk occurrences through detection of patterns, trends, and exceptions within key business processes
Adhere to applicable documentation and data governance standards to ensure consistent data integrity, appropriate data handling, and process excellence
Explore tools and techniques to ensure the company is using the best analytical tools
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
4+ years of experience working with the business in data analytics or software development
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Project Management, Business or related field. In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in software development life cycle, collaborating with business and/or Business Technology coding, designing, testing, project management
Coding experience should include SAS, Python, SQL, and/or R; Working knowledge of AWS/Snowflake; Working knowledge of Teradata and/or Hadoop; Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Visio)
Knowledge of US consumer regulations for cards, banking and lending; bank and payment services anti-money laundering/counter terrorist financing regulations; privacy, et al.

Demonstrated project management skills, including ability to prioritize, deliver against tight deadlines and follow through on completion of complex, high-profile projects
Seasoned coder in developing solutions for compliance monitoring and testing, audit or regulatory examination functions in financial institutions, complying with US consumer regulations including but not limited to: Truth In Lending Act (TILA), Truth in Savings Act (TISA), Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA); Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA); Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA); Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA); and Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP), Banking Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
