Minimum Starting Salary: $15.19 to 18.99 per hour, depending on qualifications
NATURE OF WORK:
Performs complex secretarial, administrative, customer service and clerical work of a diverse nature for the Code Enforcement Division. Performs various specialized secretarial and clerical duties which require in depth knowledge of the organization, programs, policies and procedures of the department and a general knowledge of other City programs. Duties performed consist of more diverse and specialized task which require application of more involved processes and/ or procedures. Work performed generally involves specialized/technical subject matter and may require familiarity with the terminology used in the assigned area, in addition to excellent computer and office-equipment skills. Primary responsibilities include those of a Recording Secretary and frequently attends Code Board related meetings. Performs work involving Code Board liens and special assessment liens. Assignments are performed with general instructions, guidance, and minimal supervision.
High school graduate plus two years secretarial / administrative assistant experience, preferably with office management responsibilities; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Basic knowledge of Infor Public Sector systems highly desired. Strong customer service skills required. Strong computer skills, especially Word and Excel desired. Public Notary and experience with Workday, MyGov and special assessment liens preferred.
