Position Summary:
Responsible for managing the commercial pricing Finance function and quote development process. Prepare accurate and timely quotes for new helicopter sales and completions in response to requests for quotes and proposals from internal and external customers, affiliates, and U.S. federal, state and local government agencies. Work closely with various functional areas and management. Quotes will range from simple to highly complex. Must be able to work independently, multi-task and coordinate conflicting priorities in a fast-paced high volume deadline driven environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Prepare commercial quotes: 70 %

Prepare initial and revised quotes to support internal and external customer quote requirements and price negotiations
Lead and facilitate quote kick-off and review meetings with functional areas and management
Incorporate cost and pricing data from affiliates, functional areas, and vendors to develop quotes
Ensure estimated cost and pricing are accurate and prepared in accordance with Company requirements and management direction
Provide quote analysis, reviews and recommendations to internal stakeholders

2. Maintain quote tools, records and references: 20 %

Maintain the functionality and data in the quote tool
Ensure standard costs, prices, hours, margins, rates and factors are current and accurate
Reconcile parts references, drawing numbers, material lead times to the system and source records
Document, organize and archive electronic and physical copies of completed quotes
Update and maintain source data and references

3. Quote planning, strategy and execution: 10 %

Coordinate, monitor and update quote data requests, responses, reviews and approvals
Prioritize quote preparation and focus according to internal and external stakeholder requirements
Plan, schedule and execute recurring quote process tasks and activities

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred:
MBA or Bachelor's degree concentration in Business, Finance, or Accounting

Experience:
Required:
Minimum 3-5 years commercial (or Government) pricing experience
Experience interpreting Request For Quote (RFQ)/Request For Proposal (RFP) requirements to develop quotes

Preferred:
Pricing experience with fixed or rotary wing aircraft in the aerospace & defense industry

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Required:
Must be highly proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint
Requires strong proposal analysis and financial modeling skills
Must be organized and able to work independently
Able to multi-task in a fast paced high volume deadline driven environment

Preferred:
High proficiency with MS Access
Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required in English
Must be able to communicate professionally, respectfully and effectively at all levels

Technical Systems Proficiency:
SAP experience would be a plus

Travel Required:
5 % Domestic and International

Citizenship:
US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)

Decision Making, Complexity:
Participate in and lead quote kick-off meetings and quote reviews
Must be able to manage constantly changing and conflicting priorities to meet quote deadlines
Ensure cost and pricing are properly estimated to support reviews
Drive the quote process by identifying, communicating, recommending, requesting, and monitoring the data and information needed
Work closely with all internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of the cost and pricing
Able to take an internal RFQ/RFP to initiate, develop, complete the initial quote and update as many revisions as needed that meets or exceeds the quote requirements from an internal and external stakeholder perspective
Must be able to analyze configurations and costs to ensure estimated costs reasonably accurate
Able to assess cost based vs. market based pricing to develop quotes and recommended pricing

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Government Accounting, Compliance and Pricing in the Government Pricing group within the Cost Accounting department.

Quote responsiveness and accuracy can positively or negatively impact customer relations and the Company's business

Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. [Infrequently]
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. [10% possibly]
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. [Daily]
