Overview
Aveshka is seeking an Applications Configuration Manager. The Applications Configuration Manager oversees the provision of Application Support Services, including development, support, and maintenance engagements. This role involves managing legacy and production applications, ensuring seamless operations through troubleshooting, modifying, maintaining, and enhancing application systems. The manager will ensure that all services are delivered according to agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and are aligned with the City's functional and technical needs.
Responsibilities

Application Support Services:

Manage time, material, or fixed fee-based application development, support, and maintenance engagements.

Ensure 24/7 or on-call support services as required.

Oversee application systems, including troubleshooting, modifying, maintaining, and enhancing legacy systems.

Conduct research, analysis, design, programming, testing, documenting, and implementing maintenance changes.

Correct software errors, modify reports, ensure accurate report runs, and update application documentation.

Write ad hoc queries, load, and apply changes to software languages and databases.
-
Provide corrections for production issues and participate in disaster recovery testing, planning, and documentation.

Service Delivery Standards:

Manage services through service delivery standards and agreed-upon SLAs.

Ensure all services in a defined area are managed effectively.

Provide services for one or multiple platforms as required.

Functional Needs Management:
-
Manage product backlog and support ticket resolution.
-
Conduct business analysis to determine change requirements for regular operations.
-
Document requirements for operational changes.
-
Collaborate with end users to understand current needs, challenges, and business operations.
-
Recommend technology changes to improve business operations.
-
Address business intelligence needs to enhance business operations.

Technical Needs Management:

Oversee application architecture, system configuration, and development.
-
Manage security configuration and maintenance.
-
Develop reports and implement technical upgrades to maintain security.
Requirements
Required Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Required Experience
-
7+ years of experience in application management, support, and maintenance.

Proven experience in managing application systems and platforms.

Strong understanding of application architecture, system configuration, development, and security.

Industry certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or relevant application-specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Oracle Certified Professional).
