If so, Town Sports International is looking for Camp Counselors to join our growing team. Our Sports Clubs for Kids team is responsible for providing a safe and fun experience for kids by delivering quality programming. Additional responsibilities include being knowledgeable about Sports Clubs for Kids offerings and responding to member inquiries.

Sports Clubs for Kids Camp Counselors are responsible for being super star role models for campers. Counselors should plan, lead, and implement fun and safe activities and experiences to keep campers engaged. They will be responsible for the general safety, development, growth, and happiness of their campers. The Sports Club for Kids Camp Counselor role achieves success through embodying our core competencies (Create a TSI Environment, Build a High Performing Team, Achieve Measurable Results).

Modeling and promoting our guiding principles through the Clubhouse Rules.
Reviewing and adhering to all TSI documents including but not limited to policies and procedures, employee handbook, state supplement, codes of conduct, etc.
Being on time, in proper attire, and with high energy to engage campers and camp families.
Maintaining a positive and fun atmosphere while keeping campers safe.
Keeping campers in an orderly fashion as they navigate through shared space with members.
Learning camper’s names and greeting them as they arrive and depart each day.
Inspiring other team members to get and stay active.
Build a High Performing Team
Inspires, motivates and develops a team to reach their fullest potential, contributing to the ultimate success of the organization. We constantly improve ourselves, our processes and our procedures to provide a meaningful experience in the gym. We are connected to our members, clients and each other.
Having fun and interactive lesson plans and games prepared in advance.
Partnering with the Head Camp Counselors and co-Camp Counselors to engage campers.
Maintaining a safe environment for all campers.
Being punctual when returning from their lunch break to ensure there is proper coverage.
Communicating camper concerns to the management team.
Assisting in the training of the Counselors-In-Training that are shadowing the group.
Additional duties as assigned.

Retaining all campers from week to week and year-over-year.
Increased camper requests to be a part of your group.
Asking campers if they have friends interested in the program and “Bring a Friend to Camp” days to increase enrollment.
Referring friends and neighbors to join the club and programming options.
Required Skills and Experience
A genuine love of children, patient, dependable, and a fun-loving personality.
Strong leadership skills.
Prior camp experience and working with children preferred.
A competent swimmer and able to play active sports and games with campers both on land and in the water.
Child & Adult AED/CPR certified.
Ability to proficiently use our POS and membership system, timekeeping any other computer programs required to meet the business needs of the customer and TSI.
Physical demands include ability to lift up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations, walk through all areas of the club, climbing stairs (where applicable), and bending and lifting (e.g. picking up towels, restacking weights, moving equipment as needed). The company reserves the right to change them as business needs require and that jobs may require other tasks as assigned to the employee by the company.
Requires availability Mondays through Fridays from 7:00am – 6:00pm.
Mandatory attendance at the camp trainings which take place prior to the camp program starting.
