In conjunction with the Vice President, Global Strategy & Insights for Kraft Heinz, the Director, Strategy will be responsible for leading and developing corporate strategy and business strategy. This encompasses the full enterprise, including US and all International countries where Kraft Heinz operates. He/She will be a strategic thought leader with a keen understanding of industry trends and consumer needs who can help drive Kraft Heinz’s approach to an evolving marketplace as part of a newly created Strategy office. The Director, Strategy will partner with business leaders to examine their current portfolio of businesses and formulate successful strategies for profitable organic and inorganic growth.
Work with Vice President, Global Strategy & Insights and senior leadership to deliver corporate and business unit strategy based on a keen understanding of industry trends, competitive dynamics and customer needs in an evolving marketplace.
Drive alignment on key corporate, business unit, and brand initiatives; facilitate teams to work cross-functionally to define market positioning strategies and identify cross-brand efficiencies and collaborations.
Identify and prioritize business opportunities using rigorous internal and external analysis, and by integrating consumer, market, and financial insights. Balance hypothesis-driven approach with bottom-up, detailed analysis to identify and evaluate current and future opportunities.
Generate ideas and creative frameworks using a combination of facts and judgment to build credibility and influence outcomes.
Maintain a pulse on the competitive landscape and provide strategic direction for mergers and acquisitions.
7+ years of work experience, with progressive experience in one of the blue-chip consulting firms and/or in a strategy role within a global consumer-oriented business.
Experience identifying, analyzing and recommending both organic and inorganic growth opportunities; successful experience bringing the best ideas to fruition to create economic value.
Demonstrated ability to clearly present a detailed market understanding to their internal and external customers. Well-regarded for the ability, not only to imagine and articulate future scenarios, but also to pick among strategic alternatives and then monitor and adjust the strategy as the future unfolds.
Excellent communications skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple manner.
A thought leader who has synthesized competitor and marketplace intelligence to identify opportunities.
Strong financial and analytical capabilities with broad business acumen. Deep knowledge and experience in strategic planning.
Outstanding project management skills.
Undergraduate degree from a highly regarded college or university.
MBA strongly preferred.
