You are:

You will
Manage the partnership between Pitney Bowes/Newgistics and the United States Postal Service (USPS), acting both as an activist for product and service enhancements related to a variety of Pitney Bowes solutions including First and Last Mile services that the USPS provides within Pitney Bowes’ Newgistics Return, Delivery Fulfillment solutions and as a powerful force driving continuous improvements from the USPS in terms of the execution of these services. Serving as the primary interface and contact for contract negotiations with the USPS, the incumbent will play an active role in driving the commercial relationship between the company and USPS. Your responsibilities also include working with the team on designing new solutions and network flows, driving compliance with all USPS regulations and monitoring daily postal key performance indicators.
Play a critical role in the development of company strategies that build market share and value for customers. Specifically, you will work closely with the Vice President of Parcel Services, Vice President of Transportation and Network Design and VP eCommerce Fulfillment to develop Pitney Bowes/Newgistics’ long term network strategy and with the VP of Account Management as a key resource supporting Pitney Bowes/Newgistics’ value add services and consultative approach with our clients.
Take on an educational role and lead cross functional teams from operations, sales, marketing, finance, product and technology to define and prioritize key logistical and regulatory issues to further develop Pitney Bowes Newgistics products and solutions. You possess the ability to develop excellent working relationships with internal management in order to effectively coordinate resources and teams to develop company policies and operational strategies.
Liaise with relevant retail associations, trade associations, and various ad hoc coalitions, effectively representing Pitney Bowes Newgistics’ interests. As well you will also serve as the liaison for all mailing and parcel industry participation and respective membership.
Be a subject matter expert in supply chain services and operational logistics relating to the ecommerce\direct to consumer market. Working with product management, you will contribute to create innovative solutions to handle delivery and returned parcels competitively for the retail sector with the constant mindset of adding value and enhancing the consumer experience. Finally, you will develop effective strategies for integrating commercial shipping requirements with USPS facilities, while leveraging relevant discounts on behalf of the company. Ideally you will as well have the ability to assess and project transportation costs using automated account processing and electronic postage payment systems for multiple shipping and distribution locations.

Your background:
As the Vice President of Postal Strategy and Compliance, you have:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience
Twenty or more years of job related experience with at least six to ten years in director or executive level positions within the USPS or Postal Consolidator industry.
Industry experience in supply chain with strengths in developing postal solutions and creating operational efficiencies.
Proven record of creating strategies and alliances for the effective development of solutions.
Advanced analytical ability and operational background
Proven record of high ethical standards
Strong professional presence and excellent ability to negotiate and influence others to promote Pitney Bowes NGS business interests
Strong network of professional contacts within the USPS and Postal Industry and the ability to leverage contacts and resources
Ability to make articulate presentations with impact to governmental officials, board of directors, industry analysts as required
