About our team
The Verizon Experience Team is a new internal group tasked with evolving the Verizon customer experience across all channels and touchpoints through the design and implementation of innovative products and services that customers love.
Working from a newly designed studio space at 140 West Street and our location in Soho, the team is assembling the brightest designers, design strategists, researchers, and product managers to collaborate within teams shaping the most important touch point across the customer journey.
About this role
As the Design Tools and Tech Manager you will be responsible for a broad range of the CX Team experience. You will be specifically tasked with helping to identify, plan, test and deploy new strategies, software and innovative Ways of Working to aid design. This position is ideally suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic, highly creative, and fast-paced culture. Successful candidates will be incredibly personable, organized, a problem solver, and good at prioritizing and juggling a multitude of tasks. This job will require you to communicate consistently and comfortably with staff and business stakeholders as well as be very comfortable with new technologies.
In addition, this role will support activity across 3 physical locations in NYC and Basking Ridge NJ and focus on bringing the teams together for personal and professional growth.
What you’ll be doing:
Highly focused on internal events—everything from weekly project share-outs, social and cultural gatherings, birthday lunches, and more
Collaborating with Designers, Experience Managers, Researchers, Analysts, Project Managers, Business Stakeholders and Operators to deliver the best solutions for collaborating and collocating both physically and virtually.
You will procure, deploy and configure Computers and Devices (Macs and Android/iPhones) for a growing team and ensure the timely replacement of outdated hardware
Interface with IT to ensure coordinated planning, compatibility and compliance with Design software, hardware and related systems.
Collaborate with Project Managers, providing Design and Project tools/software support to ensure functionality always expand current capabilities.
Collaborate with creative services leadership on the planning and implementation of creative systems and technologies to further efficiencies and capabilities of the team.
Provide support on project archiving and management, including digital asset management as needed.
Provide asset tagging/metadata as needed to enable assets search within systems.
Manage relationships with vendors and partners in support of Design technologies as required.
Works with technology vendors to specify, evaluate and implement appropriate solutions for Design and Project Management.
Work with Design software to set up protocols for access levels, templates, automated notifications and reporting.
What we’re looking for...
Bachelor’s degree or three or more years of work experience.
Experience working in an agency environment.
Experience with Mac OS and hardware
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Your degree in Information Technology or related field.
Three or more years of work experience working in an agency environment with design workflows, systems and technologies.
Solid working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
Experience with Project Management tools and systems.
Experience with digital asset management (DAM) systems a benefit.
Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Knowledgeable with Mac based creative systems and technologies, including ability to resolve technical issues in collaboration or independent of IT tech support.
Strong knowledge with industry standard graphic design software, project management technologies, specifically:
Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
Project management technology - preferred
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Digital asset management technology knowledge would be beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to research and evaluate new technologies to demonstrate value through business cases.
Good written, oral and listening skills and undertakes actions to develop them further.
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with management assistance.
Effectively and professionally interact with others.
